Name: Kawano Miyoko
Alias: Midori
Age: Born on April 14th, currently 16 years old.
Gender: Female
Sexuality:Straight.
Habit/Neurosis:
An incredibly strong emotional attachment to the red bow she wears around her neck; the last present her mother ever gave her, to the point where even if she’s undressing she needs to have the bow in her sight or in her hands. Her reasoning is that the bow is like a piece of her mother that she will always have with her and that the emotional attachment she has to it keeps her mood at a stable level; without it she’d feel like her mother was really gone, and that thought terrifies her. She also claims having it near her helps her 'concentrate'.
A habit Miyoko’s had since she begun learning is that when she finds something fascinating, be it nature, a puzzle or a person; the entire world seems to disappear as she focuses her attention on that one thing, if people speak to her they automatically assume she’s being rude, usually the only thing that can really get her to snap out of it is if someone shouts something at her.
It is a trait that has caused her to score incredibly high marks on tests and solve problems quickly and efficiently; but isn’t a trait that is well-received in her everyday life, considering the time it can take to solve certain sums, or puzzles, it means Miyoko sometimes forgets to do things like eating for days at a time.

Appearance:
Hair: Black, just above shoulders but almost always worn up.
Eye Color: Brown.
Height:5'3"
Weight:109lbs
Dress:Except for when she sleeps, or has to wash her clothes, she doesn’t dare change from the clothes she wore on the last day she saw her parents alive, (a school uniform).

Personality:Miyoko is loud and confident to the point of arrogance at times, she is constantly trying to fill in the silence but always looks for the good in people, no matter how little of it there is.
Although her instincts are usually right she gives answers to questions, and makes decisions impulsively. Sometimes her impulsive nature gets her into trouble, or gives people the wrong impression; her tendency to ask personal questions sometimes frightens potential friends away. She does put on a little bit of an act around people, as self-defense, disguising vulnerabilities by the overbearing behavior people notice when they first meet her.
The downsides to Miyoko’s personality are her inability to control her emotions, especially anger, her paranoia and almost desperate attempt to keep a conversation going with anyone she meets, her inclination to make friends with people is almost desperate at times, as if when she doesn’t have anyone with her it’d be the end of the world.
It is rare that Miyoko would do something as emotional as crying; if something reduced her to tears it’d have to be something very upsetting. Her incredible willpower, used mostly in problem-solving situations, helps her control herself, however this had lead her to appear cold at times to people.
History: Miyoko was born to Japanese Sasaki Naoko and Kawano Atsuo, (Take note their names are written as the Japanese would write it; surname first), in Kyoto, Japan.

Her childhood was rather lonely, having spent most of it with the Nanny, employed originally to watch over Miyoko for a few hours a day (which unfortunately turned into a full-time job for the woman) and no real contact with the outside world; Miyoko found herself yearning to get out of her home, get to a real school and make friends.
After Miyoko turned 6 her Nanny Yui, who up until then had simply spoken to her with little or no emotion, introduced herself as a subordinate of her fathers, and told Miyoko she was employed by her parents so that she could watch over her and teach Miyoko how to defend herself if she ever needed to. Miyoko found a mentor in Yui, who both educated her and taught her the Korean martial art of Taekwondo, (Moving onto the Japanese martial art of Kenjutsu briefly at 11).
Throughout their training sessions Miyoko and Yui became incredibly close; to the point where Miyoko idolized Yui. This became Miyoko’s first bond with another person, at times it was almost like they were mother and daughter as her parents were constantly caught up in new ‘projects’ at work, they were rarely ever home. There was always something far more important than looking after Miyoko. This attitude toward their daughter caused Miyoko to bury herself within her work; becoming fluent in English and French by the age of 9, (as the years went on she became fluent or at least knowledgable about several other languages), her IQ higher than that of an adult at least ten years her senior and a strangely accurate perception for things going on around her, naturally after a while she began to find the work she was being given far too easy, and asked for her parents to fire Yui so she could begin studying alone. Yui remained in the background, still looking after and feeding Miyoko but not as involved in her studies as before.
Miyoko’s relationship with her parents was completely opposite to the one she had with Yui, incredibly forced; on their part, not hers. The only time they would come home was if they were called especially, and usually would only make an appearance if they found out how high Miyoko's IQ had become.
To this day, Miyoko is unsure what her parents did for a living, she became practically afraid to ask after an incident that happened the day after she’d turned 16; in the dead of night she walked downstairs to get a drink but found her father standing at the kitchen sink with the tap running. After moving over to him Miyoko noticed he was washing what could only be blood off his hands; without giving her time to react her father instantly leant down so they were the same height, and told her to never tell anyone. She left the room silently and never spoke of the incident with anyone, and still struggles to make sense of it to this day, even wondering if she'd perhaps dreamed it.

The last time Miyoko saw her parents alive was shortly after the incident with her father; they decided to send her off to a prestigious boarding school in Oxford, England. Miyoko reveled in the chance to get to meet people that didn’t belong to her family, persuading her mother to get the school to send over her school uniform straight away so she could wear it.
As Miyoko was about to leave for the airport alone, her parents suddenly drove up beside her, asking Miyoko to get into the car. The three spoke about various things on the journey; living in England, the culture gap, and the fact the school’s intentions were to give girls a proper education, with nothing to distract them from their studies.
When Miyoko’s father parked up beside the entrance to the airport, Naoko handed her daughter a small package, containing the bow she wears constantly. Once Miyoko expressed her thanks for the small present Naoko enveloped her daughter in a long embrace.
Miyoko grabbed her suitcase and left her parents parked just outside the airport, waving them goodbye and shouting out that she’d be “back in time for Christmas”. Unfortunately, that was the last time Miyoko ever saw her parents. A month into her education in Oxford, on a cold October morning, Miyoko was called out of her English class by the Headmistress of the school and told about her parents death; Firstly Miyoko asked what had happened, the headmistress wouldn’t give her a clear answer, so changing her tactic Miyoko told her she was desperate to go back to Japan but was prevented from doing so, who proceeded to send her to a run-down orphanage at the edge of Oxford.

After a couple of months of not knowing what had happened to her parents, and being teased about being a snob in the orphanage, she was informed she would be taking some tests, thinking they were part of her education Miyoko agreed and a few weeks after these events she was told she’d be moving to another orphanage permanently; Miyoko agreed to moving to a new orphanage and in the dead of night she was told to pack up her belongings and leave for ‘Wammy’s house’ where she had the opportunity to become the next 'L' if she contined to exceed in her education.
